Lester (Leon)'s Story
After graduating from Cameron junior high school I went to West Covina high school. I was in the best student in the school. I had my times of causing trouble. I remember one afternoon while in drama, my best friend Bob Harden and I were playing with a blank pistol. I had no idea it was loaded. That being said, I was speaking around looking for Bob and I heard something behind me. I immediately turned to play in the blank pistol and started firing. Mrs. Dietrich, being very pregnant, fainted. You can bet I went to Mr. Catalano's office several times during my tenure at school.
Of course many of us boys joined the military because of the Vietnam war. I joined the Marine Corps, as did Mike Schlee and Craig Chastian.

o Mike Schlee in Saigon and we immediately started singing "to the tables that Moreys"
in 1969 I met a girl on a blind date. I was so not over I went to her the next day at her to marry me. To my surprise she said yes. Well, that was 40 years ago we are still married. Had three children; two boys and a girl.
I retired from the Marine Corps as a major. I immediately started working in law enforcement. And after 20 years or retired as a detective.
This is not in character, with a guy who never turned in homework assignment. I earned my PhD in psychology and became a psychologist.
I remained in California for many years. Eventually, in 2007, I moved to Arkansas and built a house on top of a place called Hall Mountain. I lived there today.
